The Saturday of the Narrow Gauge gathering stayed mostly dry although the mountain-tops were obscured by clouds, however, the rain held off and the day was a success. The River Mite is seen at Dalegarth for Boot being attended to by one of the visitors to the Narrow Gauge Gathering whilst the regular driver skives off and takes photographs.
After 29 years driving on the R&ER Ron Clarke hung up his grease-top hat. The pictures in this collection record his last day. Happy retirement Ron - and thank-you for all the help and advice you have given me.
